Wonderful place and a wonderful host!
La Maison Jules is excellently located near the the city center and the train station. The room I stayed in was large and the bathtub was heaven! Booking was easy, the breakfasts were wonderful, and Alexandra is a treasure!
Tours is a charming town and I highly recommend a visit. And if you decide to go there, you must stay at La Maison Jules!
I traveled Centre-Val de Loire 17 days trip,I stayed La Maison Jules for 3 nights 4 days.
La Maison Jules had the highest grade satisfaction in many B & B in France. The coordination sense of the room is wonderful, it is very calm and cozy.We were able to take breakfast comfortably. It was a great help to have a table reservation for three dinners at Tours.Someday I would like to come back here again if I have the opportunity.Thank you very much.
My family of 6 stayed at La Maison Jules for two nights this August. Alex was extremely welcoming and helpful with restaurant and tourist attraction ideas/advice. The location of the B&B is perfect to walk to shops, restaurants, the river & historic buildings. It is also not too far of a drive to different castles in the Loire Valley. The building & rooms are beautiful, unique, clean and comfortable. There is also a nice porch outside in the backyard. Our breakfasts in the morning were delicious and the wifi was much appreciated. Alex is a wonderful host and her B&B is perfect! Merci Alex!
Superb Place to Stay
We stayed here on our way south and again on our return journey north. We stayed in two different rooms, both were equally superb, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Our host Alexandra was very welcoming, helpful and full of helpful advice on the surrounding area and places to eat. She could not have been more accommodating. If we return to Tours which we hope we do, we would most definitely stay here again as it is an idillic oasis in the middle of the City. Thank you Alexandra and you two little hosts who were equally pleasant.
We stayed at La Maison Jules for two nights in August and could not have had better location, service or accommodation. The house has been beautifully renovated in keeping with its age but with lots of stylish touches. Alexandra was most welcoming and being able to use the kitchen, coffee making facilities, etc was a very friendly touch. Small things made such a difference – we had left a bottle of wine in the fridge to chill and Alexandra thoughtfully left us two glasses and the bottle opener ready for us to enjoy the wine on the terrace when we returned – very thoughtful! We stayed in the adjoining rooms at the top of the house, our 13 year old daughter having the room next to us with a shared bathroom. The only problem we had was that we couldn’t leave the window open overnight, as there was no catch to leave it part-open and if it was fully open, the curtain was attached to the window so let the light in. We improvised using a bottle of water propped on the window ledge! We would definitely recommend this as a base if you are visiting Tours and Alexandra is the most pleasant and helpful owner there is! Thanks for a lovely stay.
A haven of peace and charm in the centre of Tours
An old 19th century house, renovated with taste in a contemporary style, but respectful of the past : welcome to La Maison Jules! On top of this, you need to add the friendliness and professionalism of the young owner and her husband, who made us totally feel at home in their luxury bed and breakfast. A big thank you to Alexandra for your smile and attention, we will not forget the quality of the breakfast, a real treat, especially on the sunny terrace! For us it was a great way to visit the Loire valley vineyards with a foothold in the center of this beautiful city of Tours.
